The Village of Streamwood is accepting applications for a full time code enforcement officer. This position enforces housing, zoning, and environmental codes. $33,826. Excellent benefits. Code Enforcement Officer (Full Time)
B & F Technical Code Services, Inc. is accepting applications for a full-time Code Enforcement Officer. This position requires the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written format. Duties include inspecting existing structures for compliance with the ICC codes and local amendments. Inspections include, but are not limited to; single family, multi-family, rental programs, property transfer, overcrowding and vacant structures. Additional duties include detailed report writing, excellent follow-up procedures, issuing court citations as necessary and testifying in court.
This position requires excellent bilingual skills (English and Spanish), ICC Certification as a Property Maintenance and Housing Inspector and a minimum of 3-5 years experience. Additional certifications and/or skills a plus. A valid state issued driver’s license is required. Ability to pass verbal and written skills proficiency exercise is required. Normal work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Alternate work hours may be required from time to time.
