The IACE Board is continuing to work hard for the membership and in 2012 we are looking to increase membership, provide more informative quarterly training seminars from the surveys filled out, initiate the networking and social activities with our friends at SBOC and NWBOCA, and roll out the importance of the Code Enforcement Campaign.

There will be no increase in fees for 2012. Yearly membership will stay at $25.00 and quarterly training seminars will remain $35.00 for a member and $45.00 for non-members.

At the 2011, December quarterly meeting the board was asked why we don’t look at other venues for the training sessions.  Other venues have been looked into, such as Oakton Community College, Harper College and College of DuPage.  The fees at these locations are much higher than Elgin Community College and by switching locations the board would have to increase quarterly training/meeting sessions to $90.00 per person to just cover costs. In these economic times when many of our membership pay their own fees, the board could not justify increasing the quarterly training fees just to change a venue.

In closing, the Board asks that you please support IACE by becoming a member. Again, the yearly membership fee is $25.00 which is an inexpensive way to gain knowledge, training, networking and information that can benefit you and your organization.

In reality IACE is the best value offering quarterly training, lunch and C.E.U.’s.

The Board and I are looking forward to serving the membership in 2012 and hope with your support we can continue to make IACE an even better and stronger organization. As always, please address any comments, concerns or ideas you may have with any of the board members. I hope to see you all at our next quarterly meeting and don’t forget the next IACE Outing is February 17, 2012 at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates for the Chicago Express Hockey Game. Details on the IACE web page. Until then, Be Safe, Stay Safe!
