The Illinois Association of Code Enforcement will be holding its quarterly training seminar on July 9th 2008. Marty Collins from the City of Milwaukee will be our featured speaker. For those of us who have had the pleasure of attending the University of Wisconsin at Madison training Marty Collins needs no introduction and for those of you who have not, you are in for a treat.
Mr. Collins will be presenting a round table discussion on some of our most pressing housing issues; overcrowding, occupant behavior, licensing and if time permits foreclosure and the vacancy crisis. If you only plan on attending one training session this year, this is the one. Please feel free to pass this information along to anyone in your village who might benefit from this discussion.
The meeting will be held at Elgin Community College, Business Conference Center located at 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin, Illinois.
The program cost (including lunch) is thirty dollars ($30.00) for current IACE members. For non-members of IACE the program cost is forty dollars ($40.00). There is no charge for those members that have prepaid for the entire year. All members that are planning on attending must return the enclosed form on or before Wednesday, July 2, 2008. Registrations received after that date will be thirty-five dollars ($35.00) for members and forty-five dollars ($45.00) for non-members. Registrations can be faxed to Bob Roels at (847) 818-5329 or emailed to broels@mountprospect.org. No refunds will be issued after Wednesday, July 2, 2008.
