SBOC (Suburban Building Officials Conference) has announced the dates for their Annual Training Institute and Conference for 2012. Scheduled for March 2, 9, 16, and 23, topics include 2012 Building Code Update and Fore Code Update, Verbal Judo, Fire Resistive Construction and Fire Performance of Light Weight Engineered Lumber, and Short Topics: Kitchen Hoods, Fire Code Permit Regulations, Site Plan Review, and Door Hardware.

The Illinois Association Of Code Enforcement is proud to announce and honor an outstanding Officer and outstanding Code Enforcement Program of the Year for 2011.

The Code Enforcement Agency of the Year award will go to the agency who has exhibited outstanding public awareness; education; training and overall enforcement. Your nomination should highlight those programs that demonstrated your agencies' training and public awareness as well as any special programs created for the purpose of educating the community.

With 2012 already upon us, it's time to renew your membership dues for 2012. We are happy to announce that there will not be an increase and dues will remain at $25 per person. Please complete your membership application and forward it and your dues to Rhonda Klecz, President, C/O City of Batavia as soon as possible.
